Yesterday's The Revenge of the Dim Sum Dollies in the Esplanade Theatre was a blast for me. But too bad no one will be able to share the same joys and laughters I experienced. Except maybe Pei'e..lalala...nvm...i share some jokes with u guys....dun pout. I was arriving late after a short dinner and shopping trip with April. I was practically sprinting through the CityLink towards Esplanade and end up 8 min late for the show! I quickly produced my ticket and thundered up the escalator and raced towards door 8 almost to the end and saw a middle aged lady usher explaining to me that I can go in when she is cued to do so. And kindly told me not to panic and watched the show from a mini LCD screened outside the door. After the dim sum dollies sang finished the first song, I was ushered in and quite pai seh to walked past 4 pairs of couples' legs...=.= then i quickly sat down and enjoy the segment about Selena,Emma and Pamela dressed as school girls after their song about upsizing your life. Selena came out in SCGS uniform and explained to the audience at how excited and longed to be a SCGS girl. And quite unexpectedly her reason was that because this is the first Singapore girls school that have students shave off their armpit hair, much to thunderous laughter! Then came out out Emma as RGS girl and Pamela as a convent school girl. They began singing the song about giggling girls that have unique experiences. Example about the convent girl kissing a boy at the bus stop and got caught and as well as commenting about the kiss which the RGS girl happily recorded in a notebook. Plus discovering about some things in their parents room....

Emma came out impersontating as Princess Masako who fled from the palace because she can't bear a son in perfect accent! She seek the advice of Pamela as Mother Theresa and Selena as a Malay woman dressed in sorong kebaya all having their respective characters' accent! Its jsut so amazing. And finally, Princess Masako was enlightened and she danced like a havoc girl!

A segment about No Go Home Old Folks home was just as hilarious, 3 old woman with walkers and line dancing in them. Followed by more energertic dancing together with 6 old hunks...lolz

After this was about 3 tai tai going to Chateau d Beaute for a nip at the eyes, a lift of the breasts, a tuck at the hips and liposuction at the thighs. And purposely flashing their glittering trinkets at their fellow tai tais. The tai tais further discussed that they should form a party and Selena replied by asking," Don't we have to wear white?" And Pamela replied by saying," Thats why we become the opposition! And we can call ourselves the OTT! Opposition Tai Tais!" Followed by more hilarous songs!!

And intermission for 20 mins.....by then i knew i wanted the CD that they were selling. But to my disappointment i don't have any cash left!! I quickly asked a usher for the nearest ATM and its in Marina Square. I ran through city link and into Marina Square in 10 mins and *shocks* 5 people queuing in line!! And i left only 10 mins!! I'll be late!! I clicked my tongue inpatiently and paced back and fro. When it was my turn, left like only 5 mins to the second hlaf of the musical. Luckily i figured out a faster route by just exiting the Marina Square at the side doors and raced towards the pedestrian crossing to Esplanade. I should have done it earlier!!!! And into the Esplanade, up the escalator and towards the same ushers to circle 2. By the time, i reached the door to the theatre, i was 1 min away from the start of the show. What a exciting night....Again the 4 pairs of legs....and yes! I managed to catch all the action in time.

Pamela dressed as a parking attendent came onto the stage and asked us how to drivers call her what kind of names? 1 answered as auntie and she replied candidly as thats very kind. Later after much prompting she replied that drivers called her a parking pontianak because 1 min she's there and the next...she's not there. And drivers often begged her not to write down their number plate and she happily say she don't have to write down, she just have to press the button in perfect impersonation of malay accent! After that she did a rap thats so true and funny!! I can't helped laughing and holding my stomach which still ache a little from NAFA!

Next, many clouds decorated the background and the 6 guys with angel wings danced around the stage. About 2mins, Pamela came out dressed as a Pilipino maid about cleaning windows for her mum and the next she's here. And Emma and Selena came out too!! All fell from the HDB flat because of the windows.

Next up is a segment about 3 women with their guy problems....it isn't as funny but still quite nice. Dancing flirtatiously with the 6 hunks.

Then the six hunks in pilot uniforms, so delicious!! Then the 3 siao zha bo dressed in the SIA singapore girl sorong kebaya. In the midst of singing, they swing their umbrellas commoning seen on commercials and at the end of the song, We are Singapore Girls, its a great way to fly! More stitches of laughter!!

After that, its more sober when they dressed in sequinned dresses in national colours and sang the usual national day songs then the twist was they sang the 4 different langauges of national songs really fast, those songs always a must on National Day. And in the midst of it, they waved their mini flags of singapore and the crowd who are equipped with the flags enthusiatically wave theirs too! Wow! Such good propaganda!! And the show ended on the high! And Selena gave her thank you speech and gave an encore to thank for our support for their musical. Plus they will signed autographs on the last night! I quickly bought a CD and patiently get my way down to level 1 and happily got a signed CD! I commented that they have really good voices and humbly thank me for my support! Hee....now i can slow down and drink my mango freez...............
