Another entry about food!! I love to eat nice food....so another recommendation...hehe...I was taking the Mrt as alwaysto reach home when the train stopped at Kallang Mrt..it dawned on me that i wanted to eat the prawn mee that is nearby which many weeks back I had no chance to eat. I thought," Since i got a chance today, why not?" I quickly dashed out of the doors before they can close on me. Whew! Jalan Sultan Prawn Mee is situated along Jalan Ayer and is a stone's throw away only...ok lah...dun gimme the weird face =.='''' ...its actually about 100 to 200m away. It was very packed with many office people. I scanned for an empty table inside the shop. There are various pricing for prawn noodles and big prawn noodles, with a price tag of S$4-S$5 and S$8-S$10 respectively. I ordered the cheapest prawn noodle followed by cooling down with a cup of lemon juice and waited for my prawn mee to arrive. Within minutes, steaming hot prawn noodles was placed infront of me. The soup is dark brown and took a sip, its sweet plus there is substantial amount of oil floating too, i noted. I picked up my chopsticks and began feasting on the noodles. The mee is slightly "chewy", "tao kay" is crunchy and decorated with 5 prawns. I can count. Overall, i am satisfied with the meal, a change from the usual canteen in school. But sad to say, Itas canteen is closing at the end of the month. Gone will be the chicken stew from western muslim stall, chicken rice and noodles from noodles and rice stall, chicken chop and fish & chips from chinese western stall plus the range of drinks offered by the drinks stall. So much for my lunch...now must cramp for exams...zzzzzz...CEP
