It's yet another MIA for 6-7 months.....many things have happen....

I can say I was clueless, passive, discouraged in the first half of the year, waiting for a breakthrough and the opportunity to escape from the black hole. I devoted some time to my kendo and became so dedicated for awhile that physically I was in better shape than ever. Right now, I'm graded as 1st kyu, a grade just below black belt. It will be a defining moment when I cross into a whole new world of serious kendo.

My kendo activities have now tapered down to twice weekly training due to other commitments. I am now busy studying in a short postgrad course to enhance my analytical techniques and demonstrating in the First Year Chemistry labs while searching for opportunities. It is a harsh reality that without residency, jobs are few and far between.

However, there are still some up-lifting news. Now I can officially say that my honours research results have been published in Australian Journal of Chemistry, Vol 62 No. 7. I would like to thank my supervisor for giving me an opportunity to be in his group as a honours student and engaging in research, without him I wouldn't be where I am now. Additionally, I have been granted a telephone interview for a established organization, hope everything goes smoothly. This interview could be a turning point in my life...

Wow...i didn't realize I was away from blogging for so long. Anyway, I had been busy with my thesis writing for last 6 months of the previous year. Now everything is finished! It's a relieve that its all over. All the hard work is worth it.

Now, I have a 3rd kyu grade in Kendo as well! More training and hard work in the coming year!

A nice bonus from my last Australian University Games was that I was awarded 2nd in the Kyu Womens Individual competition!!! Yeah!! Finally, my first and might be my last medal for uni kendo... From now on, I can only compete in open competitions and events which prove quite impossible to come close to winning. Anyway, I'm sure on going training and dedication will get me up there.

Now that I've graduated, plan for the new year is to get a good paying job!! Saving $$ in the process as well!! Haiz...it's time to face the big bad world.......

I know it's been such a long time since I updated... it's because i've trouble accessing blogger website. But anyway, nothing exciting has been happening except my birthday that past real quick just two weeks ago. I had a fantastic seafood dinner that includes shashimi, prawns, mussels and oysters at home with a palatable orange mousse cake from French pastry shop, La Reniasance in Circular Quey.

Sorry april....I'll post your present real soon, been trying to bid the item on Ebay and finally got it.

My korean penpal of 10 years is coming to Sydney with her friends for a holiday this mid May!! It's really exciting!! This will be the first time I've met her in person! But I have a feeling that I might not know what to say when I meet her. Hopefully, all goes well...

For this month and next month or so, i'll be in a super busy mode of completing my literature review of a topic that bores me, presentation, oral exam plus other exams coming up. And most importantly, my graduation on 6 June 08!! I'll be graduating from my Harry Potter like Sydney University. Lots of beautiful architecture in the background when I'm in my graduation gown!

I was looking at an online shop and I saw this interesting way of identifying the right size for ladies underwear.

Men Buying For Ladies
The easiest way to determine the size for your ladyfriend is to have a look in her lingerie drawer at the sizes she is currently wearing. This may not always be possible and if the thought of being caught browsing through her lingerie drawer put you off there is another easier method which surprisingly works quite well. Think of her bust as a piece of fruit. The equivalent fruit size matches the cup size you should buy:

Fruit Cup Size

Lemon: A Cup

Orange: B Cup

Grapefruit: C Cup

Melon: D Cup

Sunday was one of the lousier days of the start of the rat year. I got pickpocket!!! Curse that woman who did that to me!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was walking out of Broadway Shopping Centre’s main entrance along Bay Street at around 5.15pm. I walked past Grose Street and Rebel Sport (sporting wear shop) and round a bend towards the traffic lights. At that moment, I heard someone calling out to me if I lost anything. I checked my bag and discovered my wallet was missing. This middle aged Caucasian man named Andre Storer who is an eyewitness told me he was standing outside of Broadway Shopping Centre smoking and saw an aboriginal woman following me from behind and found the right moment to fiddle with my sling bag. He tried to chase her to take a closer look to see if she was holding anything as her back was facing him. Then soon after he saw her running across the road into another building, just opposite Broadway Shopping Centre and tried to give chase but lost her. After that he quickly called out to me. Both of us tried to trace back the route the pickpocket took. We tried to look in the toilets and trash cans to see if my wallet was discarded. However, the wallet was not found. Andre brought me to Leichhardt Local Area Command Police Station at 1-3 Talfourd Street Glebe NSW 2037 to report this incident. He also narrated what he saw to the police.

Now I hope I get back my wallet and cards.....haiz....its so inconvenient. Luckily, I took out some cards and photos few days ago. This incident reminded me of the fortune I saw in Bugis Street. For those born in the year of the ox, this year will 破财 but 会遇到贵人. Come to think about it, it's quite true....
