I received a letter from The International Library of Poetry certifying that i'm a semi-finalist in their poetry contest. I got quite a shock as i just joined out of fun and curiosity. And they wish to publish my poem on their poetry book called the Immortal Verses (working title). And they are offering special pre-publication discount price if i buy the book but its so ex...tsk tsk..
The poem is at

Then just type in Last Name: Lim First Name: Grace
This poem was a spur of the moment in memory of Forbidden City: Portrait of An Empress musical by Singapore Repertory Theatre held in the Esplanade on the 6th and 24th September 2003. I sat at the stalls and circle 2 seats and enjoyed the musical with my friends, Pei 'E and Jia Hui.
I really love this musical alot and I know its coming back to showcase it again in Singapore....Hiaz....can't watch..

Lately, been trying our luck on Lotto which is the equivalent of TOTO. 7 numbers for every line at $1.20, autopick by the computer. The prize money here is far more attractive than back home as the prize money can go up to more than 20 million after accumulation of prize money in previous weeks when there's no winner. Whereas back home, 10 million prize money is quite rare and it's only sometimes due to special occasions only. Another good point is that the money won here wouldn't be taxed! That means you get to keep all the prize money won! Whee...
JH and myself sometimes fantasize about spending the money won from Lotto by saying we can buy houses, cars, electronics, travelling, shopping etc. Hey...even though its 1 in 2 million chances of winning, it's still a form of destressing after a long day at school. :D

Roommate Horror Part 1: “The One” (JH provided this wonderful title)
The One is not the Matrix but the one who messes…..There was once our kitchen rubbish piled into 2 large bags and no one cleaned up for some time until it was cleared by M, I think. M had a sour face that night that lead to a cold war in the house. And W heard M commented that she chuck the bin away because it stank. We thought the bin was thrown away and vehemently refused to pay for the bin if the bill were to come. JH made a deduction if M was having revenge for what we had said earlier in the day. Both JH and myself approach F to nicely request that they try to lower their noise level in the future. The cold war proceeded for at least few days until W discussed with them to draw up a roster to clean up the rubbish every night. Somehow, after this bin incident, the atmosphere resume back to the usual everyday hypocrisy. The days ahead are going to be fun……..
